We are cur­rent­ly look­ing to com­ple­ment the team with an asso­ciate in our innovation team with 5 - 7 years of rel­e­vant expe­ri­ence in intel­lec­tu­al prop­er­ty, infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy and com­mer­cial law, and who is eager to work for var­i­ous entre­pre­neurs with­in the tech­nol­o­gy field.

Your responsibilities

You will pri­mar­i­ly be engaged in:

  • struc­tur­ing, draft­ing and nego­ti­at­ing a vari­ety of intel­lec­tu­al property/​ICT and com­mer­cial trans­ac­tions, includ­ing the draft­ing of licens­ing, (co)-development, e-com­merce, ser­vice, dis­tri­b­u­tion and part­ner­ship agree­ments in var­i­ous fields;
  • struc­tur­ing draft­ing and nego­ti­at­ing of var­i­ous IP mon­e­ti­za­tion deals;
  • struc­tur­ing, draft­ing and nego­ti­at­ing of ecosys­tems focus­ing on co-cre­ation and co-devel­op­ment of new tech­nolo­gies;
  • and struct­ing, draft­ing and nego­ti­a­tion of var­i­ous part­ner­ship models.

Your profile

Can­di­dates shall hold a master’s degree in law at a Bel­gian uni­ver­si­ty and prove strong aca­d­e­m­ic cre­den­tials. Excel­lent ver­bal, writ­ten and inter­per­son­al skills are a must.

Can­di­dates will also have expe­ri­ence in intel­lec­tu­al prop­er­ty and infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy trans­ac­tions and a strong inter­est in a career focused on intel­lec­tu­al property/​ICT and com­mer­cial trans­ac­tions. Sub­ject mat­ter exper­tise in open source, patents, pri­va­cy or copy­right laws is also a plus.

Final­ly, we expect can­di­dates to be able to inde­pen­dent­ly man­age projects and client rela­tion­ships in a fast-paced environment.
