Cresco advises on strategic investment by Visma in Accountable

We are proud to have acted as lead counsel to Accountable and its shareholders in the strategic investment by Visma, a European leader in mission-critical cloud software with €2.8 billion revenue in 2024.

Accountable is a fast-growing Belgian tax software company, trusted by over 40,000 self-employed professionals across Europe to stay in control of their finances and remain compliant with evolving regulations. This partnership enables Accountable to benefit from the scale and expertise of the Visma group while continuing to operate independently and further strengthening its market position in Belgium and Germany.

Congratulations to founders Nicolas Quarré, Alexis Eggermont, and Tino Keller, as well as the other shareholders and the team at Visma, including Hjalmar Florijn and Marijn van Baar, on the successful closing of this transaction.

We would also like to acknowledge the continued support and vision of early-stage investors such as Rory Stirling (Connect Ventures), Fred Destin (Stride.VC), and Robert Lacher (Visionaries Club), who have played a key role in Accountable’s growth journey.

A special thank you to Peter Globokar and Pierre Lafitte for their input and collaboration throughout the process and also to Quorum for the pleasant cooperation.

Cresco’s deal team consisted of Glenn L’hoëst, David Dessers, Bas Stobbelaar, Fleur Vanswijgenhoven, Dominik Verbist and Nicholas Borgmans.
