Cresco assisted GuardSquare in the design, negotiation and closing of its unique and exclusive software distribution deal with SoftBank South-Korea, an affiliate of the Softbank Group, one of the largest global media, telecom and internet conglomerates.
Softbank is one of the largest software distributors in Asia and will promote and distribute GuardSquare’s products in such markets.
GuardSquare is specialized in optimization and obfuscation software for Java and Android. It has developed ProGuard, the successful open source obfuscator for Java, and DexGuard, its specialized sibling for Android. The company provides its solutions to Google, Intel, Oracle and Facebook to protect their applications, as well as the largest global financial institutions.
Cresco assists GuardSquare and its senior management with the design of its IP and IP monetization strategy, the negotiation of all types of commercial agreements and all equity related matters.
