Sentiance in strategic series B round led by Samsung

Less than 12 months after the closing of its Series A equity round, we have assisted Sentiance in the structuring, negotiation and closing of the strategic financing round led by tech giant Samsung. Early backers of the Company, including venture capitalists Qbic and Volta Ventures, contributed to this round. The investment also encompasses a strategic technology alliance pursuant to which Sentiance will work on certain pivotal Internet of Things projects for Samsung.

Ambient intelligence company Sentiance mines sensor data from smartphones and wearable devices to build context-aware, personalized profiles that can be used by its clients to increase engagement, conversion and retention.

Samsung invested through its USD 100 million Catalyst Fund which is primarily dedicated to startups focused on disruptive ideas, digital health and computer human interface.

Sentiance will use the USD 5.2 million Series B funding to accelerate international development.

That's what you need when you deal with the big guys. Cresco has the technical chops and pragmatism to match their legal acumen."
