Cresco assisted the Belgian Government in its negotiations with the International Polar Foundation ("IPF") on a global amicable settlement regarding a series of legal proceedings with respect to IPF's activities at the Princess Elisabeth Station in Antarctica.
In addition, Cresco negotiated a complex operational agreement to structure IPF’s future activities at the Princess Elisabeth Station. Furthermore, Cresco advised the Belgian Government on the incorporation of an international non-profit association to manage the Station.
Filip De Schouwer and Tessa Gijbels led the Cresco team that advised the Belgian Government in these negotiations.
