Cresco advises Smartfin on Marble’s EUR 6.5 million Series A

Cresco is pleased to have advised Smartfin as lead investor in the EUR 6.5 million Series A financing round of Marble, a Paris-based fintech developing an open-source platform for fraud detection and anti-money laundering compliance.

The round was led by Smartfin, with ADNEXUS joining as a new investor and continued backing from existing investors Passion Capital, 42CAP and Hexa. The financing brings Marble’s total funding raised to EUR 9 million.

Marble enables banks and fintechs to automate key fraud and compliance processes, including transaction monitoring, screening, alert triage, investigations and regulatory reporting. The new funding will support Marble in further developing its AI-powered compliance automation capabilities and accelerating its continued international growth.

We are delighted to have supported Smartfin in this investment and look forward to following Marble’s next phase of growth as it continues to reshape how financial institutions approach fraud and financial crime compliance.

Congratulations to Arnaud Schwartz and the entire Marble team, and many thanks to the Smartfin team (Saumitra Dubey, Thomas Depuydt, Jean-Baptiste Maenhout) and all other parties and advisors involved for the constructive collaboration throughout the process.

The Cresco deal team consisted of David Dessers, Charles Groffils, Agim Curraj and Emma Antonneau.
