Formation of smart building ecosystem Co.building

Cresco acted as lead counsel to Co.station in the structuring and formation of the Co.building Ecosystem.

The ecosystem is operated by Co.station and is founded by BNP Paribas Fortis and Befimmo.

The Co.building Ecosystem is an open innovation ecosystem to share knowledge and boost innovation to create buildings that support quality of life, promote health, safety and comfort while being sustainable from their development until the end of their lifecycle.

The founding partners and Co.station establish a unique collaboration between people & organisations across the building & construction industry. In order to provide answers to Belgium’s and Europe’s building challenge, concrete use-cases and fast innovation are developed.

Cresco has designed the founding partner arrangements and Rules of Engagement for the ecosystem, and plays an active role in structuring the participation of the ecosystem members in the ideation and sandboxing phases for the development of innovative solutions.
