Ingrid is a Senior Associate at Cresco with a focus on AI, IT, and Innovation-related topics. Her main areas of expertise concern tech-innovation, including AI Regulation, Privacy & Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Media and Platform Regulation, IP Rights, Consumer Protection, and Commercial Law.
With her combination of academic and consulting experience, Ingrid approaches cases through a multidisciplinary and holistic lens, assessing the interplay of many factors, and considering both risks and opportunities, while thinking ahead and staying pragmatic.
Before joining Cresco, Ingrid worked as a legal researcher for the Centre for IT & IP Law at KU Leuven where she was involved in a multitude of interdisciplinary research in areas such as Privacy & Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Media and Platform Regulation, IP Rights, Consumer Protection, and Commercial Law.
After successfully defending her doctoral thesis in 2023, she worked as a legal consultant at De Cronos Groep, supporting both De Groep, its many tech subsidiaries, as well as external clients, such as healthcare, financial, and public institutions.
Ingrid combines a genuine curiosity in and passion for innovation with an analytical, critical perspective to fully enable the positive capacity for innovation while raising awareness around potential risks or concerns.
Ingrid obtained her Master of Laws degree at the KU Leuven, as well the LL.M. IP & IT Law.
Ingrid is fluent in Dutch (native) and English.
