Cresco advised Konligo, a spin-off of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, on its €1.1 million investment round

Cresco advised Konligo, a spin-off of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, on its €1.1 million investment round, bringing together Entrevest (Niels Diepvens and Sander Diepvens), Mountain Productions, Inc., Andy Moors (CEO of Veldeman) and Edwin Van der Vennet (founder of bematrix), alongside continued backing from existing investors trividend and finance&invest.brussels.

Konligo designs and manufactures foldable structures that replace heavy, slow-to-assemble stages, roofs and tents used at festivals and events. Its Fastival stage roof is deployed in under 30 minutes by two people, and its newest product, The Tent, in under five minutes by a single person, without tools or a pump. Both are designed and made in Belgium, using 70 to 80% recycled aluminium.

The proceeds will support the global rollout of The Tent, the development of new large-scale structures for the events industry, and further applications of Konligo’s folding technology, including in defence.

Cresco has extensive experience advising academic founders and investors in university spin-offs, guiding them from lab to market with a solid legal and strategic foundation, and through the complex growth rounds that follow in highly competitive markets.

Congratulations to Aushim Koumar and the entire Konligo team on this milestone. Thank you to all parties involved for the smooth collaboration, and we look forward to following Konligo’s continued success.
