Glenn L’hoëst is a business lawyer with a strong focus on the technology sector.
Glenn has extensive experience in assisting entrepreneurs and companies in their business and fundraising activities during all stages of the private company lifecycle including start-up, seed funding, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, joint venturing, and initial public offerings, as well as general corporate advisory work, intellectual property needs and commercial contracting.
Glenn assists venture capital funds and private equity houses in structuring their funds and raising capital, in setting up incentive mechanisms and carried interest arrangements, as well as in the negotiation and closing of their investments, acquisitions and divestments of portfolio companies.
Glenn advises domestic and international clients with respect to complex commercial transactions designed to protect and maximize the value of technology assets, including technology licenses and acquisitions, research and development collaborations, joint ownership and commercialization arrangements, and corporate partnering transactions.
Furthermore, Glenn is the chairman of IFESE vzw, an academic institute for philosophical and social-scientific education and has given a number of guest lectures in corporate law at the University of Hasselt.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Glenn was part of the founding team of two start-up companies and pursued an international career in show jumping.
Prior to joining Cresco as a Senior Associate in October 2021, Glenn worked as a (managing) associate in the Corporate and M&A department of Clifford Chance LLP mainly focusing on private equity transactions, and worked as a Corporate – Technology associate at Cresco.
Glenn obtained a Master of Laws degree at the University of Hasselt, qualified for Top Sport Status and obtained an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law at Maastricht University.
