Hendrik began his career as a lawyer at Allen & Overy focusing on public and corporate law. He subsequently joined the corporate sector as in-house counsel at an international service firm, where he was responsible for all legal matters, including employment law.
Hendrik holds a law degree from KU Leuven, an LL.M. from McGill University in Montreal, and a postgraduate diploma from FUSL Brussels. He acted as an expert for the Belgian Chamber of Representatives and the European Commission and serves as a deputy judge at the Antwerp Labour Court.
